Originally from Donetsk, Ukraine, Mykhaylo now lives in New York and works for the New York City Fire Department. In his spare time, he is very active in the Ukrainian-American diaspora, devoting special attention to the SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE, which he founded in 2005.
